Who owns your review software?
Every acquisition we could confirm in review, reputation and guest feedback software from 2019 to 2026: who bought whom, when, on what terms, and where the old website points now. Each row links to the official announcement.
Which review and reputation software companies have been acquired?
These 22 deals were announced between September 2019 and October 2025, newest first. "Agreement" means the announcement described a deal that had not closed yet; where we confirmed the close, the row says so. Eleven are review, listings and local marketing tools, and eleven are guest feedback and customer experience platforms.

Prices appear only when the announcement or filing stated them. Two rows carry month-level dates because the confirming source gives only the month: AreTheyHappy (a trade publication report) and Yumpingo (Black Box Intelligence's own September 2025 release says it acquired Yumpingo "in April this year"). The table is also available as a CSV file.
What should you ask your vendor after an acquisition?
Ask in writing, before your next renewal, and keep the answers with your contract. An announcement does not change your agreement by itself, and most releases say little about existing customers.
- Who is my contract with now? Check whether your agreement lets it pass to the buyer, and whether the legal entity on your invoice changes.
- What happens to my price at renewal? Ask whether your current rate is held, for how long, and in writing.
- Is the product staying, merging or being retired? Ask which features are on the roadmap for the next 12 months and which are not.
- Can I export all my data? Reviews, replies, tags and history, in a format you can open, on request.
- Will support change? Ask who answers, how fast, and whether your account contact stays the same.
- Which integrations continue? Google, Yelp, delivery platforms and your point of sale, by name.
If the answers are vague, run a short pilot of an alternative on two or three of your stores before the renewal date. Our 2027 buyer guide lists the criteria and vendor questions we would use.
How do you check who owns your review software?
Look in four places. The company named in the terms of service and on your invoice is the one you have a contract with. The vendor's press or newsroom page usually announces deals. Typing the product's old web address shows whether it now redirects to a parent company, which is how we filled the website column above. And your account manager has to tell you in writing if you ask.
How was this tracker built?
We searched for acquisitions, mergers and take-private deals from January 2019 to October 26, 2026 where the company bought, or the buyer, sells review, reputation, listings or guest feedback software used by restaurants or multi-location businesses. A deal is listed only if we could open the buyer's or seller's own announcement, a securities filing, or a published copy of the official release. The date is the date of that announcement. We checked where each acquired company's old website leads on October 26, 2026.
Left out on purpose: rumors and reported talks; partnerships; deals in social media listening only (such as Hootsuite and Talkwalker, Agorapulse and Mention, and Sprout Social and Repustate); deals before 2019 (GoDaddy bought Main Street Hub in 2018); survey-only take-privates; and a December 2025 report about GatherUp and Grade.us that we could not trace to an original announcement.
What are the limits of this tracker?
- Announced deals only. Private deals that were never announced cannot appear.
- Announcements, not outcomes. An agreement can change or fall through. We mark a deal completed only where we found a completion notice.
- Not independent. Replio publishes this page and competes with some companies on it.
- A snapshot. Ownership and websites can change after October 26, 2026. We plan to update the page when new deals are announced.

Who bought Chatmeter?
Alchemer announced its acquisition of Chatmeter on September 24, 2025. Terms were not disclosed, and chatmeter.com still loads as its own site.
Did Qualtrics buy Press Ganey Forsta?
Yes. Qualtrics announced a $6.75 billion agreement on October 6, 2025, in cash and stock, and completed the acquisition in May 2026.
Who owns Medallia?
Thoma Bravo agreed to take Medallia private for $6.4 billion in cash in July 2021. Medallia itself bought Zingle in 2019 and Sense360 in 2020; both old websites now redirect to medallia.com.
Which restaurant feedback companies were acquired?
Restaurant-focused deals on this list include Medallia buying Sense360 (2020), Olo agreeing to buy Wisely (2021), and Black Box Intelligence buying AreTheyHappy (2022) and Yumpingo (April 2025).
Should I switch review software after my vendor is acquired?
Not automatically. An announcement does not change your contract by itself. Ask the vendor in writing what happens to your price at renewal, your data and export, support, integrations and any features on the roadmap, then decide on the answers.
Is this list complete?
No. It covers deals we could confirm from the buyer's or seller's own announcement or filing, from 2019 to October 26, 2026. Private deals that were never announced are not on it. If we missed one, tell us and include the official source.
